Eva Cliborne Meredith

Eva Cliborne Meredith, 84, of N. Dinwiddie, passed away on Thursday, September 01, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland Spencer, Sr and Estelle Eastwood Cliborne; husband, Rowland “Buck” Earl Meredith, Sr; son, Rowland Earl Meredith, Jr; two sisters, Marilyn Cliborne Martin and Laura J. Cliborne; brother, Garland “G.S.” Spencer Cliborne, Jr; brother-in-law, Williams S. Meredith; and sister-in-law, Dottie Chambers. Eva was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. She loved doing crossword puzzles, talking on the phone with friends, and spending time with her new great-granddaughter, Ellie. She is survived by her son, William “Greg” Meredith and wife, Barbara; three grandchildren, Whitney Meredith, Madison Meredith and Nicholas Meredith; great-granddaughter, Ellie Johnson; two sisters, Jennie Cliborne Drinkwater and Rose Cliborne Coleman; four nieces, Pam Kissner, Lynn Inge, Tracey Perkins and Jennifer Davis; loving and caring niece, Stephanie Portillo; five nephews, Spencer Cliborne, Timmy Cliborne, Matt Cliborne, Dan Martin and Keith Drinkwater; two sisters-in-law, Loti Cliborne and Sheila Meredith; and her Jack Russell, Rae. A graveside service will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Road, N.
