Eva Powers

Eva Mae Powers, 69, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday August 13, 2011. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and loved children. Eva used to babysit children at her home for many years and to this day many of those children and their parents would send her cards for the holidays. She was preceded in death by her parents Marcus Hanna & Novella Virginia MaDonaldson Garber, her husband John Eli Powers, one grand child, and her four brothers. Eva is survived by her two sons: John Michael Powers & wife Sheri, Jeffrey Alan Powers, all of Chesterfield, two sisters, one brother, four grandchildren, and three great granddaughters. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday August 16, 2011 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bernard Camden of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church 2154 Coxendale Road Chester, Virginia 23831.
