Evannah Thomas Glasscock

Evannah Thomas Glasscock, 92, of Sutherland, Virginia, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on November 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Madison Glasscock; a son, Lawrence Leigh Glasscock, Sr.; a daughter, Connie G. Robertson; and a grandson, Christopher Luke Glasscock. She was a charter member of Western Heights Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school for over 50 years. She served the Lord with a joyful heart in all she did, and her faith and family always came first. She will be remembered for her kind, gentle spirit, delicious cooking, and as a beautiful example of a Godly woman. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a grandson, Larry Glasscock, Jr. (Sheila); granddaughter, Brooke G. Dimaio (Chris); granddaughter-in-law, Heather Q. Glasscock; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie G. Blackwell (Jake), Reilly, Holt, Gavin, and Hadleigh Glasscock, and Paul and William Dimaio; devoted daughter-in-law, Donna G. Archer (James); and son-in-law, Randy Robertson. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Western Heights Baptist Church followed by interment at Smith’s Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Western Heights Baptist Church.
