Evelyn Bailey

Evelyn Elizabeth Hoyle Vanover Bailey, age 76, of Chesterfield, VA, died on Saturday, August 9, 2008. She was born in Cleveland, NC, the daughter of the late Emory and Minnie Hoyle. Mrs. Bailey was a retired bookkeeper, and a member of Jahnke Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Bailey. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her daughter, Margaret V. Dodson and husband Collier, Jr.; grandson, Collier D. Dodson, III; two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Lillian Dodson; a sister, Margaret Correll; and brother, Joe Hoyle and wife Ester. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road Chester, VA, 23831, on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 1 to 2 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Committal services will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Brookneil, VA.
