Evelyn B. Blackburn

Evelyn Benton Blackburn, 87, of Chester, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Susie Benton, her loving husband, Hughie Blackburn, Sr.; and her sons, Randolph D. Blackburn, and Quintin D. Blackburn. She is survived by her sons, Hughie D. Blackburn, Jr. (Linda), Carlton D. Blackburn, and Ronald S. Blackburn; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Cora Boone; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Evelyn was a longtime member of Thrive Church in Chesterfield. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
