Evelyn Louise Brinkley

Evelyn Brinkley 73 of Fayetteville NC passed away Friday September 13, 2019 at 1:15pm with her family by her side.
Born to the late Edward and Nola Merle Bell August 28, 1946 in Troy Alabama. She was a woman like no other. She didn’t have a college education instead she studied the art of life and love with a heart of gold she spent her life taking care of the needs of others including countless children she watched over the years.
Evelyn touched so many people’s lives with her kind words and a smile that would light a room. She never met a stranger and anyone who knew her loved her. The bonds she forged in life were strong making this loss hit straight to the hearts of many people.
She is proceeded in death by not only her mother and father but also her daughter Monica and other family members to include her sister Marie Hahne and two of Marie’s children.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 43 years Johnny Brinkley her daughters Beverly Blue, Lisa Chapman, and Rhonda Drewery, her grandchildren Amanda Markley, Timothy Jordan, Elvis Keffer Jr., Tyler Drewery and Haebin Drewery and a large group of great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother and sisters Raymond Bell, Neda Conley, and Martha Tate their children and grandchildren.
Family and Friends are invited to join the family in North Carolina for an intimate get together to remember her life September 21, 2019 at 4pm in her home located at 1732 St. Augustine Drive Fayetteville, NC 28304.
A memorial service is to be held at her final resting place in Hopewell VA where her ashes will be laid to rest with her mother as she requested September 28, 2019 at 4pm. The service will begin on the hill at Appomattox Park 21st Avenue Hopewell, VA 23860 where we will then walk down to her Mother’s grave site.
All flowers can be sent to JT Morris & Sons Funeral Home at 820 W Broadway Hopewell, VA 23860 in lieu of flowers families can also donate to any animal or child charity of their choosing in her name.
