Evelyn Ferrell

Evelyn Page McGill Ferrell, 99, of Virginia Beach, formerly of Petersburg died on Saturday, August 6, 2011. She was a former member of the Petersburg Country Club, a member of Colonial Dames, and a member of St. Paulâ??s Episcopal Church, and attended Stuart Hall School in Stanton, VA. Mrs. Ferrell was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Elisha Leavenworth McGill and Helen McGill Page McGill and her husband, James William Ferrell, Jr. She is survived by her sons, James William Ferrell, III and wife, Dorothy, and Leavenworth McGill Ferrell and wife, Terry; grandchildren, James William Ferrell, IV, and wife, Cynthia, Laura Wingfield Ferrell Gardener and husband, David, and Leavenworth McGill Ferrell, Jr. and wife, Courtney and great grandchildren, James William Ferrell, V, Alexandra Frances Ferrell, Kathryn Ewing Ferrell, Giles Winston Ferrell, and Rosewell Page Ferrell. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 15, 2011 at Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Canterbury, 3100 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23451, or ChristChurch School, 49 Sea Horse Lane, ChristChurch, VA 23031.
