Evelyn Mae (Lingerfelt) Gupton

Evelyn Mae (Lingerfelt) Gupton, 90, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace P. Lingerfelt and Virginia Leslie Lingerfelt; her husband of 24 years, Carl Burt Gupton; her sons, Carl B. Gupton, Jr. and Robert D. Gupton; and her sisters, Bertha, Frances, and Virginia.

Evelyn graduated from Midway High School. She was a longtime foster care provider, loved all animals, and also enjoyed frequenting local yard sales. She was a loving wife and homemaker, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be greatly missed.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Lisa Rudd (Don) and grandchildren, Chris (Nicole) and Dana; daughter, Patricia Staszewski (Phillip) and grandchildren, Joshua (James), Ashley (Kevin), Carleigh (Mat), and Kristan (Brandan), and great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Skylar, Jayce, Wrenley Mae, and Preston; son, Lorne Gupton (Tory) and grandchildren, Chase (Kendall), River (Katie) and Shania (Dalton) and great-grandchildren, Wilder and Journey Mae; and daughter, Sara Gupton.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.
