Evelyn Mccoy

Evelyn McCoy Faw, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 28, 2010. She was the widow of Allen Thomas â??Peteâ? Faw, a loving husband and father. Left to mourn this special mother are her children, Mercer P. Faw, Shirley F. Daniel, Darlene F. Rice and Allen S. Faw, her eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, two sisters, Bertie Gild and Ava Benson, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. She lived for her Lord, her children, her love of gardening and her church, Enon Baptist, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Her home was always open to anyone. She was a very giving person, with a heart larger than life. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March3, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Doug Echols of Enon Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. A reception will be given for family members in her honor, by Enon Baptist Church, following the interment. Memorial contributions may be given to Enon Baptist Church Building Fund, 13607 N.
