Evelyn Crawford Neace

Evelyn Neace, of Dewitt, VA, was born December 7, 1943, and departed this life on August 1, 2024.

She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas Ray Neace, of Dewitt, VA; parents, Farmer Crawford and Margarett Marlin Crawford, of Hazard, KY; one sister, Wilma Meadows; and four brothers, Ovie Sammons, Clifford Crawford, Olen Crawford, and William Dean Crawford.

She is survived by her two children, Leah Ray Duty (Les), of Dewitt, VA, and William Danny Clarke, of Dewitt, VA; one sister, Lou Couch, of Mooresburg, TN; one brother, Edgar Crawford (Gladys), of Hazard, KY; four grandchildren, Kim Martin (Travis), Matthew Duty, Kellsie Root (Tyler), and Brandon Duty; seven great-grandchildren, Leslie, Alexis, Kylien, Cooper, Harper, Noah, and Westyn; a host of nieces and nephews; and a very dear friend, David Johnson, of Warfield, VA.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on the following day, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Asbury United Methodist Church, in McKenney. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Southlawn Memorial Park.
