Evelyn Ruzicka Oliver

Evelyn Ruzicka Oliver, 91, of North Dinwiddie, Virginia, known by many as "Bootsie," passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2022. Born March 11, 1931, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph J. Ruzicka and Libby Volhein Ruzicka; her husband of 70 years, Bernard E. Oliver, Jr.; and her daughter, Jo Carol Oliver.

Evelyn retired after many years from Fort Lee, Virginia. She loved birds, especially bluebirds and hummingbirds and also loved flowers.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sharon Robinette of North Dinwiddie, Stacy Kelley (Mike) of Amelia Courthouse, and Stephanie Poole (Gary) of North Dinwiddie; five grandchildren, Misty Wright (Steven), Shannon Fuller (Derrick), Ryan Poole, Matthew Kelley, and Jenna Poole Jones; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Wright, Kaylee and Landon Jones, and Madison Fuller; three sisters, Mary Ann Ragsdale of North Dinwiddie, Blanche Andrews (Ronnie) of Colonial Heights, and Jean Williams of Sutherland.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 1 from 6 PM - 8 PM at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Dinwiddie, 6616 Boydton Plank Road. Funeral services and interment will be private. Online condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.jtmorriss.com .
