Evelyn Surdam

Evelyn Titus Surdam, 52 of 4204 Ralph Road, Ettrick, VA passed away Thursday, June 2, 2005 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. A native of Petersburg and the daughter of Evelyn Ridout Titus and Jennings Harwood Titus. She was a member of Christ & Grace Episcopal Church and spent the last twelve years of her life as a certified nurses assistant, dedicated and loving caregiver to the elderly. Surviving besides her parents are her long time companion Bernard ?Jim? Neathery of Petersburg; two sisters, Nancy Titus Wolcott and husband Rob of Virginia Beach and Jenny Titus Culpepper and husband David of Charlotte, NC; uncle, Gilbert Ridout of Petersburg and a cousin Anne Titus Beal and husband Larry of Greensboro, NC and nieces and nephews, Lisa and Frederick Beck, Katie and Jennings Culpepper. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, June 6, 2005 at 11:00 am in Blandford Cemetery. The family to receive friends Sunday 3-4:30 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
