Everett Hawthorne Hinton, Jr.

Everett Hawthorne Hinton, Jr., 89, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Born in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late, Everett Hawthorne Hinton, Sr. and Dorothy Stephens Hinton; and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Hinton. Mr. Hinton was retired from Honeywell as a Chemist after 25 plus years of dedicated service. He was a member of West End Presbyterian Church in Hopewell where he had served as an Elder and Deacon. Mr. Hinton is survived by his wife, Nancy Hinton; three children, Bryan Hinton and wife, Tori, Cindy Potts and husband Gary, and David Hinton and wife, Pam; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his sister, Judy Layton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Dugan, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West End Christian School in memory of Everett Hinton.
