Fannie Mae Riley

Fannie Mae Riley, 93, of Petersburg, passed away on April 24, 2014. Born in Sussex Co., VA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Annie M. Rideout Stallings; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray F. Riley; a granddaughter, Sudie Isbell Waddell; one son-in-law, Matthew D’Alessio; five brothers and one sister. Mrs. Riley was a longtime member of Monumental Baptist Church in Petersburg. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Riley is survived by her two daughters, Catherine R. Isbell and Linda R. D’Alessio; two grandsons, James P. Isbell, Jr. and wife, Lindsey, and Matthew J. D’Alessio; three great-grandchildren, Devin W. Waddell, James P. III and Elizabeth M. Isbell; one sister, Pearl Reilly; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with the Reverend Barry Ginn, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of your choice.
