Fay Bonner

On Monday, August 21, 1944, Cleveland and Theomansia became the proud parents of a baby girl who they named Fay Joye Davis. Fay was born in a little town called Mocho in the Parish of Clarendon, Jamaica. Fay along with her parents then moved to Lionel Town where she spent her childhood. Fay attended Alley Primary School then later went to Vere Technical High School. After graduating, she attended St. Monicaâ??s Academy School where she received her Administrative Assistant Certificate. After receiving her certificate she was able to utilize her newly acquired skills at a doctorâ??s office. She then relocated to Kingston, Jamaica where she continued her career at Kingston Industrial Garage where she spent several years before migrating to New York. She started as an administrative assistant at the Bank of New York where she advanced to the accounts receivable department and has been there for 22 years. There are not enough words in the English Dictionary to describe the person Fay Bonner was. A few words come to mind when thinking about Fay, wiked sense of humor, devotion to family, sensitivity to others, encouraging, brutally honest, thoughtful, kind and most of all her willingness to laugh at herself. Her love for her children and God was apparent when ever you were lucky enough to be around her. Fay leaves behind numerous family and friends, especially her children, Carole and Cleve, granddaughter, Ciara, her sisters, Viola, Cecile, Avis, Olive, Joyce and Pauline and brother, Dennis. Fayâ??s passing will leave a void that will be impossible to fill. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 3 to 5 pm on Sunday, June 24, 2007. A funeral service will be held at 5 pm, immediately following the visitation. A committal service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
