Faye Linda Gentry

Faye Linda Gentry, 81, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023. Raised in Nelson County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Albert Thomas Stinson and Dorothy Dolan Lawson; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Linwood Gentry. Faye was a long time employee of Chesterfield County Public Schools, having served most of her career at Hopkins Elementary School. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Gentry is survived by her four children, Pamela Leedy, Melvin Gentry (Jennifer), Crystal Seay (Forrest), and Vickey Condrey (Tommy); nine grandchildren, Joseph Mitchell, Cassidy Harris (Jermie), Amanda Childress, Cody Leedy, Justin Gentry, Destiney Leedy, Austin Condrey, Dylan Gentry, and Brandi Condrey; five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Dalton, Brailyn, Colton, and Bucklin; four siblings, Roxann Bennett (Freddie), Nita Welch, Penny Mewhirter (Mike), and Thomas Stinson (Lynn); and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the funeral home.
