Faye Wilkerson Lucas, 86, of Prince George, VA, died peacefully May 7, 2009. Originally from Swayzee, Indiana, she had lived in the Dinwiddie, Prince George area for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Viola Mae Cockrell and Louis Jack Smith and was also preceded in death by her husbands, Alvin R. Wilkerson, Sr. and John Lucas; step-son, Alvin R. Wilkerson, Jr.; step-daughter, Katherine W. Rigby; and granddaughter, Angela R. Kielbowick. She is survived by her son, Calvin R. â??Butchâ? Wilkerson (Nancy); daughters, Celeste W. Bean (Chris), Faye W. Brantley (Rich) and Linnie Wilkerson; step-sons, Thomas Lucas (Ellen) and Gerald Lucas (Becky); 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Faye enjoyed all kinds of handy crafts which she shared with family and friends. She especially loved being part of the Oak Grove Senior Citizens group at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Dinwiddie County. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 11, at Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Robert W. Livesay officiating.
