Flora Ruth Jenkins

Flora Ruth Jenkins, 70, of Chesterfield, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013. Born in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late John Ulysses and Fronnie West Elliott. She was a loving caregiver to all family members who were not well and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, bowling and membership in the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her son, Joseph Todd Jenkins and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Trevor and Lesley Jenkins; two brothers, Johnnie Elliott and his wife, Gail, Ted Elliott and his wife, Barbara; sister, Maggie Squires; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
