Florence Christine Dance

Florence Christine Dance, 91, of North Chesterfield, VA passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Born in Crewe, VA she was the daughter of the late Denver Sr. and Dessie Southall Maxwell; and was also preceded in death by her Thomas Dale High School sweetheart, Milton E. Dance; a brother, Denver, Jr.; and a sister, Pauline. Mrs. Dance was a dedicated and faithful member of Kingsland Baptist Church where she had been a member for over 60 years. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Christine is survived by her children, Steven and wife, Cindy, Mike Sr. and wife, Sandi, Jeanne Brock and husband, Ashton, and David and wife, Juli; eight grandchildren, Bonnie, Emily, Mike, Jr., Melissa, Chris, Phillip, Hannah and Joshua; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Ferguson and husband, Harold. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Kingsland Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Pat Fiordelise, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymont Rd., North Chesterfield, VA 23237 in memory of Florence Christine Dance.
