Florence Kanusek

Florence S. Kanusek, 84, of Prince George, passed away on November 19, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Hiram and Lizabeth Fry Swimelar, and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Kanusek Jr.; three brothers, Edwin, Ralph, and Hubert Swimelar; and a sister, Lena Johnson. Mrs. Kanusek was a member of Garyâ??s United Methodist Church, and she also loved hunting, fishing and gardening. She is survived by four children, Carol K. Moody (Jerry), John Kanusek III (Patsy), James E. Kanusek (Sandy), Annie Kanusek, all of Prince George; five granddaughters, Jennifer Burke, Becky K. Mobley (Brian), Christy M. Damrath (Edward), Sarah Henshaw (Paul) and Lauren Moneymaker (Kenny); five great-grandchildren, Brandon and Andrew Mobley, Evan Moody, and Megan Burke, and Jackson Henshaw; three sisters, Essie Cain (Billie), Eula Fekete, and Helen Wells (George) ; two brothers, Hiram and Basil Swimelar; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Kanusek and Adell Swimelar. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m.on Monday at the funeral home, with the Reverend Henry Butler officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
