Florence Greer Sweitzer

Florence Greer Sweitzer, 75, of Hopewell, died on Wednesday June 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond S. and Anna Warzynski Switalski; her first husband, James D. Greer Sr.; and her brother, Raymond Switalski Jr. Florence was a longtime member of Saint James Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Peter Sweitzer; sons, James D. Greer Jr. and his wife, Laura, Michael G. Greer and his wife, Tammy Reese; Thomas Greer and his wife, Lauren, Raymond Sweitzer and his wife, Terry; daughter, Tama Garrett and her husband, Wes; granddaughter, Sydney Greer; sister, Betty Koontz and her husband, Jim; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday June 5, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with a rosary service to be held at 4pm on Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday June 6, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church 510 West Poythress Street Hopewell VA 23860, with interment to follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George.
