Forrest Hughes

Forrest Wassel Hughes, age 78, of Richmond, VA, died on December 19, 2007. He was born in Lexington, SC, the son of the late Clyde and Lila Mitchell Hughes. He was a sheet metal fabricator for approximately 50 years, a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association, and a member of the local union #100. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He is survived by a wife of 43 years, Ruth Virginia Hughes; daughters Ruth Ann Shorter, of Littleton, NC, Jayne Davis, of Buckingham County, VA; two sisters, one brother, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Thursday, December 27, 2007 in the of Virginia Veteranâ??s Cemetery chapel at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
