Forrest Wayne Shannon

Forrest â??Linkâ? Wayne Shannon Sr., 73, of Prince George, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012. He is a retired electrician from Honeywell. Mr. Shannon is preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Mathis Hobbs; his father, Elsworth Shannon, Sr.; and a brother, Elsworth Shannon, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Shannon; sons, Forrest â??Wayneâ? Shannon, Jr., and Christian M. Shannon; daughter, Anissa S. Babb and husband Jason; grandchildren, Dustin and Devin Shannon, and Austin Babb; brother, Gene Shannon, Sr. and wife Callie; uncle, Errot Mathis; sister-in-law, June Shannon and a host of other beloved family. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 23rd, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p. m. at the Hopewell Church of Christ, 310 N. 3rd Ave. Hopewell, VA 23860 with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m., with Mr. Mural Worthey officiating.
