Frances Laine Cimburke

Frances Laine Cimburke, 80, of Durham, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. She was born in Petersburg, VA to the late Willie Rose Laine and Vivian Andrews Laine. She is survived by her husband, best friend, and soulmate, Herbert Franklin Cimburke; two beloved daughters, Gail Denise Hayes and Connie Hayes Story and her husband, David; and two beloved grandchildren, McKenzie Laine Story and Madison Brooke Story. Frances was a graduate of Petersburg High School, Class of 1955. She was employed with Central State Hospital, Petersburg, retiring after many years of service. She was a faithful member of Mt. Sylvan UMC in Durham, NC and enjoyed being an active leader in Durham Urban Ministries. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
