Frances Sarfan Garfinkel 82 of Hopewell died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Chippenham Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Leon and Rose Sarfan. She was the co-owner of Garfinkelâ??s Ladies Ready To Wear. Frances was a great wife, fantastic mother, loving Mema, passionate golfer and a lover of the outdoors. She was the first female President of Temple Brith Achim and President of the Jewish Womenâ??s club of Hopewell. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Seymour Garfinkel; children, Harry Garfinkel and wife Barbara, Susan Schneider and husband Dr. Ken Schneider, Ray Garfinkel; two grandchildren, Lindsey Scott and Zachary Michael Garfinkel; three sisters, Rita Spirn, Helen Soefer, Edythe Lichtenstein; brother, Mayor Sarfan and wife, Dorene; two sisters-in-law, Frances Binder and Natalie Cohn. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Brith Achim Cemetery. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
