Frances Hall

On May 26, 2007, Frances K. Hall passed away quietly and peacefully, surrounded by devoted loved ones. She was born March 6, 1919 in Petersburg to the late Hermon Reeves Tyler and Imo St. Clair Tyler. She was married 35 years to Ellis D. King, who passed away May 1974. Married Cornelius A. Hall June 1981, who passed away 1995. Preceding her in death were her sisters Dorothy Ross and Doris Petty, and brothers Herman Tyler and Millard Tyler. Left to cherish her memory are two sisters, Katherine Denison of Canton, Ga. And Ruth Dawson of Fredericksburg, and one step daughter Shirley Fratarcangelo of Hopewell, one sister in law Anne P. Tyler of Petersburg, and 15 beloved nieces and nephews. To know her was to love her. Frances was a life long member of First Baptist Church of Petersburg. She is retired from the Federal Prison System in Hopewell. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, May 29, from 6 â?? 8 pm at the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 30. Burial will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
