Frances Hardy

Frances Markey Hardy, 78, widow of Morris Chapman Hardy â??Shortyâ?, a longtime resident of Dinwiddie Co. died June 3, 2008. She was born in Bland County, VA the daughter of the late Charles Herbert Markey and Margie Wimmer Markey, also preceded in death by a brother Douglas Alton Markey. She was a retired employee of Dinwiddie County School Board. She was a former member of Lebanon Methodist Church in Dinwiddie and a most recent member of West End Baptist Church in Petersburg. She is survived by two children, Freda Hardy Thomas and husband, Martin and Betsy Hardy Mullen and husband, Kenneth; four grandchildren, Christopher Wynne Neville and wife, Diana, Sara Byrd Cravath and husband, John, Meredith Byrd Webster and husband, Kevin and Brett Markey Neville; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Miles Davis, Brady Christopher Neville, Cassidy Shelton Cravath, Cole Ingram Webster and Parker Aiden Cravath. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 6, 2008 at Asbury Cemetery in McKenney, VA. The family will receive friends at Mrs. Hardyâ??s residence from 6-8 pm, Thursday evening, June 5, 2008 In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Heart Association, P.O.
