Frances May Harris of Claremont Passed away peacefully Sunday, January 04, 2009 with her husband (Big Daddy) and family at her side. A longtime resident of Richmond, she was a devoted Employee of Berry Burke until her retirement. Eventually settling at Sunken Meadows/Claremont where she was a devoted member of Claremont United Methodist Church serving on many committees. She is preceded in death by her first husband Lindsey Spain and one grandchild, April Seymore. She is survived by her husband of 29 years Dalison Ervin Harris, Sr.; five children, Roy Spain of Farmville, Elva Miller (Mike Zevakis) Linda Seymore (J.C.), Lindsey Spain (Susan), Carol Hazlett (Marty) of Chesterfield County; six stepchildren, Denise Hairr (Larry) of Derby, Kansas, Dalison E. Harris, Jr. (Nancy) of Claremont, Charles â??Rickâ? Harris (Gail) of Panama City, Florida, Michael Harris (Maureen) of Farmville, Mark Harris (Lisa) of Panama City, Florida, and Daniel Harris (Angie) of Fort Worth, Texas; thirty-two grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives and special friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 9, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home with interment at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Claremont United Methodist Church or your favorite charity in her name. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
