Frances Cushman Wyatt Mann passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Born on April 1, 1922 in Baltimore, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Raymond Jay Cushman and Dorothy Evans Cushman. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Norman Francis Wyatt and Dr. Geoffrey T. Mann; sister, Dorothy Cushman King; and son-in-law, Philip Clark Baxa.
She is survived by her daughter, Jay Wyatt Baxa (David Miller); her granddaughters, Emily Baxa Hogan (Nick) of Richmond and Kathleen Darby Baxa of Dubai, UAE who were the joys of her life; her great-grandson, Benjamin Jay Hogan who delivered love and laughs whenever he visited her. She is also survived by her favorite niece, Marilyn King Dickinson and her family of Etna, New Hampshire; her nephew, Michael King of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
She also leaves behind many cherished friends from all the places she lived, especially Hopewell, Virginia and Cedarfield in Richmond where she has lived since 2008.
Mrs. Mann attended Simmons College and the New England Conservatory of Music, both in Boston, Massachusetts. Frances graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Biology and attended graduate school at VCU.
All services will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
