Frances Laverne Mcallister

Frances LaVerne McAllister, 81, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Traylor; her husband, John McAllister; her son, Steven McAllister; and her brother, Johnny Brooks. Frances enjoyed painting and drawing and she loved all animals. She was a devoted, loving mother to her son Steven for over 60 years. She also loved visiting with her family. Frances is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; several sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and many extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Dinwiddie, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Namozine Volunteer Fire Department, 3313 Pelham Street, N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803.
