Frances Pruitte

Frances Maitland Pruitte, 86, of Hopewell died on Tuesday, August 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ashby Maitland and Hilda Gordon Maitland; her husband, Raymond Austin Pruitte; brothers, Thomas Howard Maitland, Gordon LaVerne Maitland and Robert Lee Maitland and her sister, Helen Maitland Bennett. Frances loved duck pin bowling and playing cards. She is survived by her son, Raymond Thomas â??Tommyâ? Pruitte; grandchildren, Raymond Thomas Pruitte, Jr., Jennifer Whitley, Joe Pruitte, Kimberly Pruitte, John Pruitte, and Jamie Grissom; eight great grandchildren; brother, William Ashby Maitland; sister, Patricia â??Patâ? Maitland Rodgers and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 6 to 8 pm.
