Frances Collier Pulley, 98, of Matoaca, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Born in Ettrick, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Edwin Collier, Sr. and Eula Mae Pond Collier. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Gerald Pulley; and siblings, Margaret Collier Davis, James E. Collier, Jr, and Gayle Collier Driskill.
Frances loved rooting for her Hokies at Virginia Tech. She was an avid bird watcher, especially hummingbirds. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed working on her crossword puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Jerry Hanger, Jenny Pulley, and Andrea Pulley; granddaughters, Angela McKeown (Jim) and Melinda Veilleux (Ron); great-grandchildren, Jimmy McKeown, Jake McKeown, Eric McKeown, Greg McKeown, Dakota Williams, Margaret Frances Veilleux, and Copper Gayle Veilleux; great-great-grandchild, Maverick McKeown and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
