Frances Lee Tickle

Frances Lee Tickle, 82, of Chester, VA, died Friday, March 04, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Franklin and Grace Farmer Hughes, and a grandson, Jesse Blevins. She is survived by her children, Joan Williams (Phil), Darrell Blevins (Teresa), Dennis Blevins, Brenda Woods, Casey Blevins (Cricket), Tracey Blevins (Tim Dorsey), and Stacey Willis; step-children, Clifton Blevins, Jr., Johnny Blevins, and Roxie Blevins; 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Raymond Hughes; former spouses and devoted friends, William Clifton Blevins and Harold Tickle. Frances worked as an auto parts pro in the Chester area for over 50 years. She loved her job because of the many friends she made through the years and simply spending time with other people. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and was affectionately known by her grandchildren as Ol’ Mama. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
