Frances Tucker Ford Wilson

Frances Tucker Ford Wilson, of Dinwiddie County, passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2018 in her home at the Springdale Retirement Community in Chesterfield. Frances was born on Oct. 29, 1931 to the late Wilson Tucker Ford and Irby Scott Watkins Ford. She was also predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert Bullington Wilson IV. Frances worked as a medical receptionist in the office of Dr. Charles C. Ashby for over 30 years. She became a friend to all of the patients, with several renewing their friendships at Springdale. Frances is survived by two sons; Robert Bullington Wilson V (Gail) of Hampton, and Raiford Tucker Wilson (Debbie) of Amelia Court House. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Bon Secours Hospice team for their very compassionate care of Frances in the past few months. In particular to thank are two of her hospice nurses, Rhonda and Karen. We are forever grateful for the kindness and gentleness they both provided. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Church Road, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the funeral home.
