Frances Woodruff

Frances Josephine Woodruff, 81, of Hopewell, died Monday, June 6, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Franklin Co; N.C. Mrs. Woodruff was a retired lab. technician for Allied Chemical Corp. with 27 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Spruill Edwards Dement, brothers, Eugene Dement and Edward Radford and a sister Mattie Parrish. Surviving are her husband, Murphy ?Woody? Woodruff of Hopewell, two daughters Donna W. Hawkins of Midlothian, Va., Lynne W. Franklin of Virginia Beach, Va., two grandsons, Christopher Hawkins and Zachary Franklin; two sisters, Ramona Marshall and Willie Holmes, two brothers, Joe Perry Dement and Garner Dement all Louisburg, N. C. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from7-8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 2:00PM in Powers Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. James Rogers, pastor, officiating.
