Frank Ashworth was born on July 28th 1960, to the union of Bartley and Gudrun Ashworth in El Paso Texas. At a young age he became a resident of Virginia, eventually, he would become a resident of his true home Dinwiddie, Virginia. Frank received his high school diploma at Dinwiddie High School and moved on to join the United States Air Force. He served in the United States Air Force for six years as a power production specialist. In 1984, he met the woman he would marry, Linda Green, who became his wife of twenty-nine years and is now lucky enough to carry on his name as Linda Green Ashworth. In 1985, Frank experienced a profound joy when he found out he would be a father to a baby boy. This boy grew into Michael Ashworth a man that he could share his love of computers and technology with. Then years later in 1988 he was blessed with another child, this time a girl. His daughter Jessica Ashworth, now Jessica Cook, thought her daddy was superman and that the sun set and rose because of him. Frank spent his days working hard for his family at SCWWA in Colonial Heights, VA. He continued to work until his illness would not allow him to do so any longer. He chose to spend these years being with his family and watching his grandchildren grow. He was always there to listen when his children needed him and was able to counsel them in hard times. He loved to spend as much time as he could with his children and grandchildren even though his illness made it hard for him. His love for his family is what will truly be remembered. Frank Ashworth passed away March 23, 2015 at the age of 54. He was preceded in death by his brother Herwig “Butch” Ashworth twenty-five years earlier. The loved ones who will carry on and cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Ashworth; son, Michael Ashworth; daughter, Jessica Cook; mother, Gudrun Ashworth; father, Bartley Ashworth; and his four beloved grandchildren Daysha Tucker, Alycia Cook, Penelope Rose Ashworth and William “Billy” Cook. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
