Frank Owens, born August 30, 1941, in Fluvanna County, VA, was a loving husband to wife, Libba (Mary) Owens, and Daddy to Melissa Gauldin and Mary Boos. Frank enjoyed going to NASCAR Races, being down in the pits, meeting the race drivers and collecting NASCAR Memorabilia. He enjoyed fishing and going out on his boat, gardening and being outside, but his passion was large equipment and excavating land. He owned Owens Backhoe Service, and excavated lots of land in the county of Prince George and surrounding areas. Frank, along with his wife Libba, also owned and operated Prince George Quik Stop, in Prince George VA, from 1992 - 2007. Frank was preceded in death by his Grandpa, Basil Pace; Grandma, Kate Susan Pace; and Sister, Barbara Holmes. Besides his wife and daughters, Frank also leaves behind a big loving family, granddaughter, Maddy Gauldin; grandson, Orrin Besley; sons-in-law, Larry Gauldin and Keith Boos; brother, Jimmy Kidd; and numerous other family members and friends who loved him dearly. Also, his wife would like to thank hospice and especially his caregivers, Emily, Megan, Christy, and Janice. His family will receive friends from 10 am - 11 am, Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway Avenue. A funeral service will be held at 11am, after the visitation, and burial immediately following at Appomattox Cemetery.
