Frank John Stech, Sr.

Frank J. Stech, Sr., 90, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and JoHanna Stech; and his brothers, Alex, James, Louis, and John Stech.

Frank served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He was a plumber for Kitchen and McClay from 1955-1973. Frank started his own business, Stech Plumbing, in 1973 and retired in 1999. He was a member of the Dinwiddie Auxiliary Police force as well as a lifelong member of St. John's Catholic Church. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Phyllis S. Stech; daughters, Cathy S. Anderson (Bill) and Deborah S. Owens; son, Frank J. Stech, Jr. (Laura); brother, Joseph F. Stech; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Dinwiddie, 6616 Boydton Plank Road. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at St. John's Catholic Church, 7310 Squirrel Level Road, Petersburg, with burial in the church cemetery following the mass.
