Franklin Wade Fischer

Franklin Wade Fischer, 66, of Disputanta, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late William Fletcher Fischer and Ruby Uldeen Storey Fischer. Wade is survived by his wife, Cathy Archer Fischer; two sons, William Randolph Fischer (Sarah Roth) and Petty Officer Matthew Archer Fischer and his wife, Brittney; two grandchildren, Michael James Fischer and Ava Catherine Fischer; mother-in-law, Flora Estelle Archer; and numerous friends. Wade an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, fishing, and woodworking. He had a passion for the water and loved spending time on the James River. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Monday November 2, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 4:30 pm. Interment will be private.
