Fred Owen

Fred Victor Owen, 53, also known as Rock and Johnny, of Prince George Co. departed this life on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Church Road, Va. and made his home in Prince George Co. He was the son of the late Fred A. and Beatrice Owen of Petersburg. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Owen of Prince George, Co.; a son, Fred Owen, Jr. of Dinwiddie; a daughter, Jennifer Owen of Prince George. He also leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Henry, Curtis and Joe Owen of Dinwiddie and Floyd Owen of Amelia; five sisters, Margie Spickerman of Dinwiddie Co., Ladora Coty of Lawrence, Mass., Hazel Mawyer of Chester, Kathy Thayer of Petersburg and Tina Klimek of Tenn.; three grandchildren, Cheyanne (Boo Boo) Owen, Nevaeh Holmes and Jada Owen; a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Friday, June 23 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 24 with The Rev. Elvis Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Church Road.
