Fred Newsom Tiller 87, of Prince George, died Friday, May 27, 2005. He was born in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Mr. Tiller served in the U. S. Army during WWII, a member of Crowder Memorial Baptist Church, was the former owner of The Little Chef Diner in Hopewell and was an employee of Ukrops for 16 years. . He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eliza Odom Tiller. Surviving are his wife, Betty Wilson Tiller of Prince George, , a son, Bruce Allen Tiller of Woodstock, Virginia, four grandchildren, Allison, Bret, Kristen and Bradley Tiller. The family will receive friends Monday, May 30, 2005 from 7-8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Elmore, pastor of Crowder Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, Va.
