Freddie Mitchell Stanley, Sr.

Freddie Mitchell Stanley Sr., of Chester, VA passed away June 14, 2021. Born in Imboden, VA on November 16, 1942 to the late John (Ott) Arthur Stanley Sr. and Ethel Irene Criner Stanley. He is also preceded in death by his brother John (Luke) Arthur Stanley Jr.; brother-in-law Don Givens; sister-in-law Judy Stanley and daughter-in-law Teresa Stanley. He is survived by his life partner Wanda East Fink; his children Freddie (Mitchell) Stanley Jr. and Pamela Stanley Adams (Chris); siblings Shelby Jean Stanley Givens (Don), Jackie David Stanley (Veronica), Charlotte Ann Stanley Henderson (Curtis), Martin Luther Stanley (Suzy), Dennis Francis Stanley (Teresa), Priscilla Louise Stanley Goff (Jackie), Rowena Gay Stanley Black (Johnny), Yvonne Stanley Slemp (Jack); grandchildren Shannon Nicole Stanley, Amethyst Lian Adams and Amber Shu Adams; great-grandchildren Autumn and Jayce and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Freddie was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He retired from E R Carpenter Company after 41 years of dedicated service. He was a generous, hard-working, dedicated and friendly man who never knew a stranger. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with a Funeral Service on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 am at J.T.
