Frederick Henry Bowen

Frederick Henry Bowen, 91, of Chester, VA went to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Minnie Bowen and his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lillian Bowen; son, Fred E. Bowen; daughter, Mabel Bowen Weaver and husband Marty; grandchildren, Laura Ramaswamy and husband Nandan, Michelle Brooks and husband Matt; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mr. Bowen was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre. He was also a Free Mason and a member of Chester Lodge NO.94 AF&AM Masonic Lodge Chester, VA. Mr. Bowen was also a longtime member of Kingsland Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the funeral home.
