Frederick E. Goodson

Frederick â??Tedâ? Edward Goodson, age 82, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. He was born in Ivanhoe, VA, son of the late Thomas J. and Hallie Liddle Goodson. Ted was retired from Allied Chemical as a chief operator after 33 years of service. He was a member of Bermuda Baptist Church, and loved God, his family, all children, blue birds, and nascar racing. Mr. Goodson is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy T. Goodson; children, Ed Goodson and wife, Brenda, Steve Couch and wife, Susan, Kathy Richter (Melvin), and Dewain Hammond and wife, Nita; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; special friends, Wanda and Gary Whitney; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2009 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment following in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester. Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made to the Charity Myers Trust Fund in memory of Mr. Goodson in care of the Bermuda Baptist Church 13912 Jefferson Davis Hwy Chester, VA 23831.
