Frederick Thomas Hope, 92, of Hopewell, Virginia formerly of Salisbury, Maryland, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012. Fred was born on May 24, 1919. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Bundick and Birdie Merrill Hope; and a daughter, Judy Lee Hope Langley. Fred was a truck driver for the National Brewing Company for over 40 years and loved his job. He especially liked meeting people and sharing stories with them; and was a very generous man. You can say that he never met a stranger during his travels. Fred also loved animals, especially his Jack Russell Terrier who he treated like one of the family. He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Mary Beth Hope; daughter, Sharen Ward and her husband, Benedict â??Dickâ? of Colonial Heights; stepchildren, Danny Riddle and his wife, Deborah of Hopewell, Susan Bishop and her husband, Casey, and Dianne Edwards and her husband, Aubrey; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Springhill Memorial Gardens, 27260 Ocean Gateway Hebron, MD 21830, with the Rev. Claude Shell officiating.
