Freida Divers Davis

Freida Divers Davis, 95, entered eternal peace on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Henry Davis (Pete); and sons, Terry Madison Davis and Robert Wayne Davis (Bobby). She is survived by daughter, Vicky Steinruck; son, Chuck Davis (Marilyn); daughter-in-law, JoAnne Davis; grandson, Shaun Davis; granddaughter, Lauren Nottingham (Ryan); and many nieces and nephews.
Freida grew up in Radford, Virginia, and graduated from Radford High School. She married her devoted husband Pete and eventually settled in Hopewell, Virginia. She retired from Sears Roebuck and Company and after raising their family, moved with Pete to Lake Gaston. There she enjoyed many good times on the water and made many good friends. She was a member of the Lake Gaston Garden Club and the Lake Gaston Ladies Club. Most recently she has lived at Dunlop House in Colonial Heights, Virginia. The family would like to thank the staff of Dunlop House and At Home Care Hospice for the excellent care and love given to Freida.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. A funeral service will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com . In her memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
