Gale Martin Darby

Gale Martin Darby, 63, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Nettie Martin; and sister, Carole Sue Martin. She is survived by her husband, Doug Darby; daughter, Heather Darby; daughter, Kristen Batalo and her husband Michael Batalo; grand-daughter, Darby Batalo; father-in-law, William Darby; mother-in-law, Kathleen Darby; and brothers, Clifford and Larry Martin. Gale was a devoted mother and wife who will be remembered for her kind heart and listening ear. Professionally, she impacted the lives of many children; and she was well loved by all who knew her. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family hopes you will offer an unexpected act of kindness for a soul in need.
