Garland Rhudy Haislip

Garland Rhudy Haislip, 79, of Varina in Henrico, VA, died on Friday, January 19, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joann Haislip; two daughters, Betty Jo Haislip Conner and Samanthia Jean Martin her husband, Scott Martin; two grandchildren, Savanna Maye Martin and Cameron Scott Martin. Garland is also survived by three brothers, Lewis Haislip (Judy), Bernard Haislip (Linda), and Johnny Haislip (Renee); one sister, Shirley Lampkin (Jimmy); and a host of nephews and nieces. Garland was preceded in death by his parents, Myrman N. Haislip and Virginia Poe Haislip; brother, Alex Haislip; and sister, Virginia Amadeo. Garland was a member of Boilermakers Local Union and owned Sandston Home Maintenance. Garland was an avid woodworker, gardener, and friend to all he met. Garland rests at J.T. & Morriss Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831, where the family will receive friends Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the chapel with interment at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832 at 12:00 p.m.
