Gary Lee Lane

Gary Lee Lane, 78, of Hopewell Virginia, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Basil Lane and Lola Verne Miller Lane. Mr. Lane served and retired as a Captain from the Hopewell Fire Department, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of the Hopewell-Prince George Civitan Club, the Hopewell Optimist Club and CPR Church of God. He was a founding member of the SuperKids Ministries. Mr. Lane is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dolores Lane; two daughters, Sherrie Lane Davis and husband, Matthew and Sara Lane-Blackburn and husband, Anthony; nine grandchildren, Adam, Abby, Danny, Dalton, Mary, Angel, Wyatt, Kayla and Kimberly; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Lane Eastman and husband, Wayne; one brother, Ted R. Lane and wife, Belinda; and numerous nieces, nephews and “adopted children”. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Spirit Life Worship Center, 4605 Romans Rd., Prince George, VA 23875. Interment will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SuperKid Ministries, Inc. P.O.
