Gary Wayne Minney

Gary Wayne Minney I, of Charles City, Virginia, died on Monday, October 28, 2019. Born in Dexter, Missouri, he is preceded in death by his parents; Harry Wayne Minney and Eula Ellawee Standridge and two siblings; Janis Kay Herrington and Rusty. Mr. Minney was a retired Chief Warrant Officer 2 in the US Army. He was a devoted husband and father who loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Minney is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Young Ran Minney; four children, Gary Wayne Minney II (Jamie Minney), Daniel Sean Minney, Donald Wayne Williams, and Sammy Dawson Williams; one brother, Tim Smiley; a close friend, George Brown; and numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at J.T. Morriss and Son Hopewell Chapel, 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860.
